Meteor appears over Modest Mouse set

Listen to this! Last week, during Modest Mouse's set at Fun Fun Fun fest in Austin, Texas, a large meteor appeared in the sky coincidentally enough  during their song, "Dark Center of the Universe." ....Pretty crazy, huh?! that is some synchronicity shizz. The universe was speaking. Here is a video that a fan caught.

New Release: Cold War Kids

Cold War Kids just released their fifth studio album titled, Hold My Home. I have read mixed reviews about it, the less positive ones all  closely revolving around the same critique that it is overly produced and lacking their unique sound which in my opinion, they hit hardest with on Robbers and Cowards.  Since then, they have gained and lost new members. New members include drummer Joe Plummer and guitarist Dan Galluci who are both former members of Modest Mouse. Singer, Nathan Willet continues to deliver with his outstanding vocal range and deeply felt lyrics. Of course, when new members arrive and certain ones are lost it is inevitable that there will be a change in the sound and in their performances. I have mixed feelings. There are some really solid songs on there but the album as a whole has not caught on to me yet. I'm willing to give it more listen ..it might grow on me. See for yourself...check out the songs "Hot Coals" "All This Could Be Yours"

We weren't prepared for "Generic"... - Review of "Together" by Calvin Harris & Gwen Stefani

Generic,  a word used by EDM.com in their article release of the new song, is putting it lightly.

Calvin Harris found major success with his first album release, "18 Months" and the numerous collaborations with the likes of Florence Welch, Ellie Goulding, and Rihanna to name a few, included on the album. I was expecting quite a lot from Harris when working with a pop powerhouse like Gwen Stefani. From No Doubt to solo, No Doubt comeback to solo comeback, Stefani has proven she can do whatever the hell she wants and stay as relevant as ever, musically and stylistically speaking. The collaboration had the potential to be big but chose the road to top 40 radio charts in my honest opinion.
Let's hope HAIM can put it to shame, haha.
